I have found writing rapid-response poetry to be nourishing. Meeting the immediacy of the horrors with an immediate act of creation. Like so many things, the intention and the action is more importan than the product.

“Immediate act of creation”—I love that.

I have been that ghost-mother and send ease and courage and healing to all of you 💙 Also have watched Call My Agent straight through at least twice— maybe it’s time for another round!? What’s nourishing me is soup and community and sacred rest. Thank you for your words

Yes to soup and community and rest. 💗 Watch Pernille if you haven’t—two teenage daughters!!

Oh I think you'll love Pernille, Kate, if you haven't watched it already! And I owe you an email. Coming soon! xx

Hi Robin, I read Kim's Game as well. The part about opening the letters was so unnerving but I still wasn't sure if she'd write back to the fiancé. It had The Heart of Darkness vibes. One resolution I have this year is to listen or read the New Yorker story every week. I just finished Katie Kitamura's Intimacies and I found it nourishing.

Yes, definitely Heart of Darkness energy in that story. Intimacies: what a strange and somewhat confounding and beautiful book! Glad it found you.
